Funny girl.....

It's Tiphaine again...thought you all would enjoy this...so Eric was getting ready for work (he works graveyards on weekends) and we called the kids downstairs so we could all have nighttime prayer together. It was Deni's turn and I was helping her...she was blessing that everyone would have good dreams and I whispered to her that she needed to ask that Daddy be safe at work...she looked at me funny and so I repeated it again...she looked at me funny again and shrugged her shoulders and said. "please bless daddy to be a dork!" There are days he doesn't need help for that! Just Kidding! Anyways, I thought it was funny...we could hardly get through the rest of the prayer! Until next time..........

Thanks for trying to help...next time, please don't!

Okay...it's Tiphaine here! Hello to all! So, the other day I was putting groceries away in the pantry and I smelled something rotten. I couldn't quite figure out where the smell was coming from so i started cleaning off the shelves. I started at the top and worked my way down...sorting and tossing and organizing and wiping things down. Still the smell was awful...when I got done with the last shelf...I still couldn't find the smell so I started removing the 5 gallon buckets filled with flour, sugar, and such. When I moved the last bucket...I found the smell...an almost (but not quite) empty bag of potatoes...ROTTEN! Yuk! They were not put back in their spot...someone decided to hide them apparently. They were so rotten that they were leaking all over the pantry floor and the purple print on the outside of the potato bag was now staining my pantry floor....I went to go get the mop to clean it up and Jaxson (the big helper) said, "Mommy...I won't let Deni get into it!" "Thanks, Jaxson...you stay away from it, too!" was my response. When I came back into the pantry from getting the mop wet, I turned around and was immediately met with purple footprints going from my pantry to the bathroom to the kitchen and back to the bathroom...AAAGGGHHHH!!! Jaxson and Deni, both, decided to "dance" in the pantry and thought the purple footprints were the coolest thing ever! Oh, I could have beat them both...but instead, handed them each a wet towel and told them they had to clean it up! They were not too happy that I was making them mop up their masterpiece. Oh...I can't wait until the next adventure....perhaps it will be a mudpie in my bathroom sink (oh, wait...that already happened last week...I sure do wish those two had school on Fridays!)

Look who's 60

I'm Hot!

Well I am in Mesquite at least.
One day it was 105 degrees by noon and rain mixed with hail by 3:00.

This was the second hottest August on record.

I am glad to see all you lettle children back in school. Now your parents gets a break. And the drivers on the road get something to aim at.

Let's see just how smart you are. For every "A" each of you gets on a report card I'll give you two dollars. Not that I don't trust but, you will have to send proof. That will improve your writing and stamp licking skills. Good luck this year.

I need to go now. It's time for cake and a nap.

love ya all, Pa Pa Mike

July, 1st - 110 in Mesquite

July is here already. Hot! Hot! Hot!

We had several birthdays in June. Uncle Mike Herbert, Winona Downs and John & Melissa King. It may seem like we forget your birthday at times, but that's not the case. We always remember, we're just slower to act.

Hailey is being baptised July 8, in Snowflake, Arizona. She has done a good job of planning everything for the day. We're all proud of her and hope she has a great day.

I think Makenzie is next in line for baptism. She has been reading and studying for the last few months, in preporation.

I'm sorry if you have been unable to log on. The site name I gave you all doesn't seem to work. I can give you another e-mail and password if you would like. With the new address you can post your own pictures.

We learned that Sammie spent some time in the hospital in June but was unable to log on to let us know. Sorry, that's what this site was created for. I know you girls spend untold hours on the phone but, if it's in print we can record it on paper. The resulting book could be sold to support our retirement. Honestly, it would be an easy way to record our history for postarity.

July birthdays include Austin 17 on the 12th, Cheyenne 14 on the 15th, Tristi ?? on the 13th, and Hailey 8 on the 8th.

Austin, Cheyenne and Tanisha are no longer allowed to have contact with our side of there family. That's quite impressive, coming from a fother who wanted nothing to do with his kids for 10 years. Looks like we're loading up our wagon for the welfare train.

I'm still paying $2.49/gallon for gas. Now's your chance. Would you like free gas and be paid to go get it. Do you know two people who would like the same.

Well it's time to say solong. Remember, if you're to busy to fish, you're just to busy.

Love from the King family

Well, Dad said he would upload blackmail pictures if I didn't sign onto the blog..... so I'm leaving a message for proof that I did. lol. Love you Dad. :-)

The King family (John, Melissa, Kaeley, Brandon, and Johnny 5) are all doing extremely well. We are very happy that summer is finally arriving. Enough of this freezing air (especially since our heater was broken for 2 months). I'm so excited that there will be a blog now that we can all keep in touch on, because I feel like I don't know any of you. I really hope everyone joins in.

So, a little update on my family. John and I just celebrated our 9 year wedding anniversary. Yay! He's amazing! We're hoping to actually go on a special vacation for our 10th anniversary. We'd better start saving now. Kaeley, 10 1/2, is growing up before our very eyes. Most days I just look at her and am amazed that she's my daughter. She makes me feel old. She just finished the soccer season and I was so impressed with her soccer skills. She is this shy little girl in life, but on the field she has this great confidence and plays soooo hard. After her last soccer tournament she got a special medal that only a couple of the other girls got. I can't wait til it starts back up in the fall. There were 2 mean girls on her team that really hurt her feelings, but they'll be on a different team next year..... thank goodness.

Brandon, 8 1/2, is the sweetest boy in my world. His days are filled with baseball (and I honestly think he probably dreams about baseball in his sleep). He made the 10 year old all-stars baseball team. For those of you who don't know Brandon, he was really sick for about 5 years so his growth was stunted. He is this teeny, tiny 3' 11", 48 pound little boy that exudes this amazing ability to play BBall. He rocks! I am that annoying mom in the stands at both Kaeley and Brandon's games that cheers loudly for every kid on the team.

Johnny, 3 1/2, is ALL BOY! My best friend always laughs at me and says, "Kaeley and Brandon were such easy kids that you deserve to have a hard one." Thanks Jess. He is into everything, doesn't listen, and pretty much does whatever he wants to do.... no matter what John and I say. I think his favorite thing to do is climb. He climbs chain link fences and his bunk bed any chance he gets. He changes his mind in the blink of an eye. One day spaghetti will be his favorite food....and the next day he'll hate it. Don't get me wrong though, he really is a sweet boy....when he's asleep. hahaha.

Ok, hopefully this works. I've already tried to post it twice. Wish me luck!

garden update

Girls we have a tomato about to turn red. That is history, or just no one around to pick it.

We made the strawberry bed larger and transplanted plants. Now they don't produce berries. That's my luck. They'll be loaded when you come next year.

Rhiannon, we'll se you on Tuesday!

Free Gas;

Well here we go! It's a whole new adventure.

If you do not have your site location, login code and password by now just send $5.99 and I'll hook you up.

You are incouraged to make posts at any time. The grandkids can do their own if you wish. They might find a new pen pawl. Pictures will need to be sent to me for placement.

Those of you who don't like paying $4.00 for gas can go to "earnfreegas.g255.com and learn how to sive money. I only pay $2.80/gallon for gas and next month it will be free. After you study the program for awhile I'll explain it to those interested.

It's pretty quiet around the house without the kids. All we do is yell at one another now. We did go to dinner with friends the other night. It's cool being adults again. I still miss Kayden being such a little tease butt.

Testing the duncanfamilybiz email post...

Even more testing...
